Frances E. Willard (1839 — 1898) was an American educator, reformer, and founder of the World Woman’s Christian Temperance Union. Ms. Willard acted as a mentor to members of Alpha Phi early in the fraternity’s history and her commitment to the ideals of progress and service inspire Alpha Phi collegian women and alumnae to this day.
In her memory, Alpha Phi International celebrates Frances E. Willard Day of Service (F.E.W.D.S.) during the month of March. Each Chapter across the nation is encouraged to plan a service event to provide support and assistance to their community.
Check the Event Calendar for information about the Alumnae Chapter’s F.E.W.D.S. activities planned for March 2020.
